12 HP Kohler Motor runs great.

Unfortunately, my transmission does not. It's a Peerless 4 speed + reverse. I can fix the Peerless transmission. These parts are easy to find.

What I cannot find is an axle housing. As you can see, the axle housing is broken where it fits into the transaxle.

If I could purchase just the axle housing that would be great! If I need to purchase the entire rear-end for a Homelite Jacobsen, I am open to that for a fair price.

Wakefield Garage outside of Athens, Ohio are price gougers. They refuse to do business. They prey on local people. You will dig through their salvage yard, find things that they didn't even know they had, then they will look up the price for a new part and demand that price. When asked why they are asking such an outlandish price they give this response: "because I have it and you need it." If it weren't for the John Deere sign in front of their lot, they would have been out of business long ago. Avoid them at all cost. Allpower is right up the road, or go to Lancaster for your John Deere needs, better selection, better service.
